This morning we drove to Bratislava, Slovakia, on our way to Prague. At one time it was the capitol of Hungary. We stopped in Bratislava for a lovely lunch in a winery cellar.

Nevena says that Serbians are among the tallest people in the world. They are even taller than the Dutch.

Nevena thinks that the Slovaks did well by separating from the Czechs. Many companies have moved to Bratislava because it is cheaper than Praha (Prague) and it is in the center of Europe.

We drove on to Prague, and checked into our hotel. The Czechs have wonderful imaginations about their decor of buildings! The main floor of our hotel has a bar that looks like it is entirely made of blue ice.

We and the Maestres went out to a local bistro for dinner - a VERY long walk! The food was good, but the smoking was fairly intolerable. Next time we go to a non-smoking restaurant. Again, the decor was wonderfully imaginative, with dried flowers scattered across the walls and ceiling, and a complex network of baffles to screen the ceiling lights.
