Leisurely breakfast. Then drove to LAX to pick up Kerstin and Leonard Trawick at 11:30am.

Drove them out to the Santa Monica pier. Had some lunch and walked along the pier.

Then drove down the coast to Malibu where we visited the historic (? built in 1929) Adamson house, famous for its beautiful tiles, gardens, and view.

Drove inland through the winding roads in the mountains and then back home to our motel on Vermont Avenue near downtown Los Angeles so Kerstin and Leonard could unpack. Then out again for dinner, at a nice restaurant Kerstin found called the Dresden, which, despite its name, was Italian. Across the street was an interesting looking Armenian-Russian restaurant. We will save that for tomorrow.
