We got to the Columbia Icefields while it was still early, and at the center, took our seat on the special busses that take you out near the Athabasca glacier. There you transfer to ice tractor busses to go on the glacier itself. It was hard to take pictures through the steamy windows, and they didn't let us wander off on the glacier beyond the "parking area", so it was hard to take good pictures, but here they are. |

Aron, Ben, Martha get glacier melt water from the Athabasca glacier the melt water was smoky from the fires (mostly those in British Columbia), but it was still good — a little like drinking cold lapsang souchong tea. |
