On to 6 Flags! We first went on the big Ferris Wheel since it was close to the entrance and we could view the whole park from the wheel. After that, we went on Thunder River, a ride where we were in round 8-person rubber rafts that spin and twist, and go through “rapids” and waterfalls. We got completely drenched and were wet for the rest of the day. Then on to a Scooby-Doo ride - it's like a “scary” ride in semi-darkness - sort of a poor-man's Pirates of the Caribbean - where they try to distract you from the hokey sacredness by giving you a laser light gun to shoot at targets along the way. They give a prize to the highest scoring person in the train. In our car Arthur got 14,000 points, Aron got 11,000, and I got a measly 2,500. I think my gun was broken. None of us won the prize. On to lunch at Calico's Café, then took a train ride around the park, and stopped at an outdoor theatre to watch the “Not So Great Train Robbery”, which indeed was not so great. One more ride, in a dugout canoe water slide. |

Thursday, August 5th, 2004 Day 4
Dear Journal, Today we went to Six Flags. First we rode on the Ferris wheel. It stopped when we were at the very top and we had a great view! Then we went on a river with artificial rapids. It was bumpy, and we got soaked! All the rides were fun. Then we changed and went on some water slides. One had giant tubes. After having our share of fun, we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. Aron |

Then on to the water slide area where we rented tubes and went down the endless river and the waterslides to our heart's content. Home to the clunky Patel again. Dinner and bed. |
